Present Simple
The simple present is
used:
- To
express permanent situations.
- To
express generally true.
- To
express habits.
- To
express future timetables.
- To express future after
"when", "until", "as sonns as"...
Construction of the Present
Simple in English is easy: Subject + verb (without to) I live in Spain
But the third peron
(he/she/it) adds and -s: She lives in Spain
Notes on the simple present,
third person singular:
- Verbs ending in -y: the
third peron changes the -y to -ies: fly- flies
- Verbs ending in -ss, -sh,
-ch, -x, -o, adds -es:watch-watches go-goes.
